Earlier that year, Wall had confirmed the news of becoming a father, saying, “It’s crazy, we’re all having babies. Brad just had a baby. I have a baby. John has a baby due in a couple months. Jeff Green just had a baby, so my girl’s actually excited that she has people she can relate to.”
Wall met his gf, Shante, in Cleveland, where she is from. The pair kept their relationship private, but she was once spotted courtside at a Summer League game supporting him. At the time, Shante had just given birth to their son and was living with Wall and Ace at his mansion in Potomac.

Speaking to Black Love, Wall explained what fatherhood means to him: “I think the most fulfilling thing is just being present. Being there with them. Like today, they had a spring concert play that was exciting for me to be there. I know when they look in the crowd and see me, they [have] joy. I enjoy just being present for anything they have. If it’s his soccer game, training, any little thing I can be there for.”
His dedication is rooted in his own childhood. Wall lost his father to liver cancer when he was still young, and that loss taught him the importance of simply being there for his children.
As he put it, “I think it’s all fun. I think the older they get, they try to be a little smarter. They know a lot. They teach you certain things that you didn’t have before. They give you more patience than you probably ever had because you have to be patient with them. I think that the hardest part is just trying not to get frustrated.”
