She immediately called 911 and tried to revive him with CPR. At the hospital, she was told the devastating news—Reggie was gone. The cause of death was arrhythmia, with sleep apnea listed as a contributing condition.
After his passing, Sara established the Reggie White Sleep Disorders Research and Education Foundation, aiming to provide accessible care for those battling sleep-related health issues.
Reggie and Sara Had Two Children Together
Reggie and Sara White gave birth to two children, Jeremy and Jecolia.
Jeremy works as a kindergarten teacher at The Movement School in Charlotte. Before joining the school, he spent time teaching and mentoring at several educational organizations, including West Lake Preparatory Academy, L.I.F.T. Tutoring, and Brisbane Academy.
He holds a degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and later pursued further education through the American College of Education. Away from the classroom, Jeremy is also a father of three, with his first child born in February 2018.
Jecolia has also followed a path in education, working as a high school teacher in Charlotte. In addition to her role in the classroom, she is involved in the real estate business alongside her mother, Sara.

When Reggie’s health began to decline, Sara stayed close and strong, helping him manage his condition while keeping life as normal as possible for their children. And when tragedy struck, it was Sara who held the family together through heartbreak.
In the time that followed, she found new ways to keep Reggie’s legacy alive. She co-produced a documentary to tell his story truthfully and from the heart—interviewing teammates, friends, and others who knew him deeply. She wanted the world to see not just the athlete, but the man behind the number.
What Sara White Is Doing Now?
Sara is a graduate of East Tennessee State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business. She later attended the University of Memphis and completed a BBA in marketing and military science.
Sara currently works as a real estate broker at Mooresville Realty, LLC, based in Mooresville, North Carolina. She joined the firm in early 2019 and has continued to build her career in the real estate field, where she has over a decade of experience. Before this, she worked as a broker at CLT Residential until 2019.
In addition to her real estate work, Sara has held a long-standing role as a director and founding board member at Par National Bank in Charlotte, a position she has maintained since 2005.
She is also credited as the founder of the eHUB Entrepreneurship Center, which she established in 1995.
