For more than 15 years, audiences have followed an energetic pair who mix career highlights with candid, personal moments. They recently celebrated the arrival of a daughter, and the couple—David Pakman, the affable host of The David Pakman Show, and his longtime partner Hannah Laurel—continues to win over viewers. With fans already speculating about what comes next, many are asking whether marriage will be the couple’s next step. We’ll look at what’s known and what followers are hoping for.

More Than a Decade Together

David and Hannah first became a couple on March 25, 2011, and their relationship remains strong more than ten years later. They regularly share glimpses of their life on social platforms, giving followers a sense of their close connection. For their ninth anniversary on March 25, 2020, Hannah posted a heartfelt note to Instagram, celebrating the partnership they’ve nurtured.

Her caption read, “I feel like this photo perfectly encapsulates how I feel on our anniversary this year. This one is a little messy, it’s just us together, the environment is somewhat dark and ominous, but we are still smiling.” Hannah further wrote,

I feel so fortunate that after 9 years, not only can I tolerate being stuck in a house for weeks at a time with this one, but I actually genuinely enjoy having this time together. If that’s not true love, I don’t know what is. 💞

Although they have been together for many years, David and Hannah are not married and have made no public announcements about wedding plans; still, the strength and longevity of their relationship leave open the possibility of a future marriage.

Sorting the Rumors: What Really Happened

Since November 2015, Hannah has frequently been photographed wearing a ring, which prompted persistent speculation that she and the well-known talk show host were engaged. For years the couple kept many details private, although David often introduced her as his girlfriend during public appearances.

In a February 2021 interview with Smashing Interviews Magazine, David was asked about his love of travel and whether he shared that interest with a partner. He replied:

Yes. I’ve been with my same girlfriend for nine years, and we both enjoy travel and are both looking forward to getting back to it and also looking forward to getting back to Argentina to visit family, which has been too long at this point.

That remark appeared to put the engagement chatter to rest temporarily. The discussion resurfaced on June 8, 2022, when David announced he would take paternity leave and referred to Hannah as his fiancée — the first time he publicly used that term, signaling a clear shift in how they described their relationship.

David and Hannah became parents when their daughter, Nava, was born on June 6, 2022. The couple regularly posts updates about her development and the happiness she brings them.

Life-Threatening Postpartum Crisis and Urgent Surgery

On June 19, 2022 — about two weeks after her C-section — Hannah confronted a sudden, severe medical emergency. What began as an unexpected, sharp ache in her upper abdomen quickly turned alarming.

At first she and her family treated the pain as a passing issue, but after checking her blood pressure to rule out preeclampsia and consulting her OB, her condition deteriorated. She developed respiratory distress and intense pain, and David, frightened for her safety, called for an ambulance.

She was rushed to the hospital at three in the morning, where clinicians in the emergency department discovered a duodenal perforation — a hole in the small intestine. Doctors attributed the tear to prolonged Advil use during her postpartum recovery.

Repairing the injury required emergency surgery and a roughly five-inch incision. Recovery was difficult: she had a nasogastric tube, depended on IV fluids, and could not eat or drink, all while being separated from her newborn. Despite the physical pain and emotional strain, Hannah concentrated on healing and getting back home to her family.

Hannah’s Shift from Blogging to Family

Hannah Laurel built a strong following as a lifestyle blogger, writing about food, travel, wine, and cooking. On Steemit she attracted over 400 followers and posted 113 entries, but her blog has gone without updates for the past six years.

More recently she has turned her attention toward family life, regularly sharing photos of her daughter and fiancé on social media and enjoying time with her loved ones.
