Hulk Hogan, the larger-than-life wrestling legend, passed away at 71 from cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home on July 24, 2025.
While his wrestling career made global headlines, his personal life also stirred its share of controversy. One of the biggest scandals came in 2007, when Hogan was accused of having an affair with Christiane Plante, a close friend of his daughter, Brooke.
The revelation shook his long-standing marriage to Linda Hogan, bringing an abrupt end to their more than 20-year relationship.
Now, with Hogan gone and nearly two decades having passed since the affair, questions resurface: Where is Plante today, and what became of her after the scandal faded from the spotlight?
Where Is Christiane Plante Now?
Nearly two decades after her affair with Hogan made headlines, Plante has vanished from public view. Once at the center of a high-profile scandal, she now lives in total privacy—no social media and no public sightings.
Plante, now in her 50s, was a close friend and assistant to Brooke Hogan, Hogan’s daughter. In 2007, while filming Hogan Knows Best, she revealed to The National Enquirer that she had been involved with Hogan. At the time, she was 33 and had worked with Brooke on her 2006 album. Her admission shook the Hogan family to its core.
In November 2007, Hogan’s first wife, Linda Hogan, filed for divorce in Pinellas County, Florida. A year later, she publicly confirmed the marriage ended because of Christiane’s involvement with her husband.
Though Hogan denied cheating in his 2009 autobiography, he admitted Linda often suspected him of inappropriate relationships with other women. Ultimately, he walked away with just 30% of their liquid assets—around $10 million.
Hulk later revealed he struggled with suicidal thoughts during the split, crediting his co-star on American Gladiators, Laila Ali, for pulling him out of that dark period.
The scandal also destroyed Christiane’s friendship with Brooke. In a statement to Perez Hilton, Plante addressed the backlash and said she would never use the story for fame or profit:
You won’t find me signing a deal for a tell-all book on the Hogans, pimping out juicy details of the affair, appearing on television to milk this 15 minutes for all it’s worth or anything of the sort. You can’t even find any pictures of me online.
She also expressed regret for what happened, saying she deeply regretted betraying Brooke and added, “I will never be able to fully forgive myself for this. I have lost an amazing friend.”
Brooke later shared her own pain in a now-deleted MySpace post, writing:
When your best friend and one of your closest family members that you have loved unconditionally since your first day on this earth, betrays you together, you could maybe find it in yourself to forgive one day… But you will never forget the hurt they caused you.
Since then, Christiane has disappeared entirely from the public sphere.
Christiane Claimed the Relationship Started After the Marriage Had Ended
She later clarified that her involvement with Hogan began only after he and Linda were no longer together. “My relationship with Terry began at a time when Terry and Linda privately knew their marriage was ending,” she said.
Though the divorce had not yet been finalized, Plante insisted there was no overlap. Still, the timing caused backlash, especially given her close ties to Brooke.
Around that same period, reports also began to circulate that Hogan had been considering having a child with Plante. He was said to be looking for someone to carry on his wrestling name, since neither Brooke nor Nick pursued careers in the ring. Hogan himself once stated, “I’m not finished having kids—I want another Hulkster.”
