Ian Daniel Kincaid wasn’t exactly your typical Hollywood kid. Born on September 9, 1970, in the small town of New Hartford, New York, he actually got hooked on something totally different—medical illustration. For almost two decades, he worked at major companies like International Medical Press (2003-2005) and Ultimate Software (2008 – 2011). After moving to Atlanta, he didn’t waste any time getting his feet wet, landing small roles in a couple of projects—Rosalind and 3X.
Fast forward to now, and Ian’s latest work is turning heads. On September 3, 2024, the first episode of Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior dropped. This five-part documentary series is about the twisted mind of Hadden Clark, a little-known serial killer, and guess who’s playing him? Yep, Ian. It’s a chilling role, but he brought it to life in a way that’s left an impression.
And there’s more on the horizon. Ian’s next big project is The Naked Gun, where he’ll be stepping into the shoes of a Detective. The film is set to release sometime in 2025, and it’s got the kind of buzz that suggests Ian’s going to be a name you’ll hear a lot more of in the coming years.
His Mother Passed Away Due to COVID
While Ian’s career was taking off, life threw him a tough challenge. In January 2021, he lost his mother, Danielle W. Kincaid. She was 76, and though she had been dealing with health issues for some time, COVID-19 was what ultimately took her life.
What made her passing even more heartbreaking was that she and Ian’s father, Frederick Kincaid, were just ten days away from celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary. They had been high school sweethearts, and their love story was the stuff of legends—married during the infamous “blizzard of ’66.”
Family has always been a huge part of Ian’s life, and losing his mom hit him hard. He also has an older brother, James, who is four years old.
Ian Shares Three Children With His Ex-wife
On the family front, Ian was once married to Amy Abrames, with whom he shares three children—sons, Noah and Alex, and a daughter, Julia. Though his marriage to Amy didn’t last, his role as a father remains a cornerstone of his life. All three of the kids are grown-ups now and doing well on their own.
Today, Ian resides in San Gabriel, Georgia, where his home, valued at around $307,000, provides a cozy retreat from the hectic pace of the film industry. It’s a place where he can focus on what truly matters to him.
