Linsey Davis is a familiar face on ABC News, anchoring the Sunday edition of World News Tonight as well as the network’s weekday prime-time program, ABC News Live Prime with Linsey Davis.
Away from the newsroom, she enjoys a happy married life with her husband, Paul Roberts, who has built a successful career of his own.
The pair share a son, Ayden, whose presence has even inspired several of Linsey’s children’s books.
Here’s more about their marriage and the passion they share for running marathons.
What Does Linsey Davis’ Husband, Paul Roberts, Do?
Roberts has served as the president of Lyn Systems Inc. in White Plains, New York, since July 2021.
Before that, he spent over 13 years at GoldPoint Partners LLC, working as a director from 2004 to 2018. His role there involved business development, marketing the firm’s investment funds, overseeing investment due diligence, and making recommendations for mezzanine and equity co-investments.
Earlier in his career, Roberts was a principal at J.P. Morgan Partners, where he handled the origination, structuring, and execution of private equity investments.
From 2018 to 2021, he also owned and served as president of Security 101 in the New York City metropolitan area.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Roberts holds an MBA in finance and corporate strategy from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University’s College of Business and Economics.
Linsey and Paul Got Married in 2013
The couple exchanged vows on March 10, 2013, in a beautiful ceremony at Oheka Castle in New York.
They’ve been together ever since, and now live in White Plains, New York.
They Share a Love for Running
While Davis and her spouse, Roberts, keep most of their relationship out of the spotlight, one thing they’re happy to share is their love for running. The couple has been taking part in marathons for years, often using the events to raise money for charity.
Davis frequently posts snapshots from their races, showing them side by side at the finish line.
In 2024, they set themselves a new challenge — to run a race in all 50 states. By March of 2025, only one state remained on their list.

Running has been a part of their story since the very beginning. On their fifth wedding anniversary in 2018, the journalist shared a photo of the two on her Facebook and recalled how Paul once answered the question, “What are you looking for in a woman?” with just one line: “Someone who likes to run.” That anniversary was spent exactly as he might have imagined — lacing up for a half marathon fittingly called the Labor of Love.
Linsey Davis’ Son Ayden
A year after their wedding, Linsey, along with her husband, Paul Roberts, welcomed their son, Ayden, on March 28, 2014.
In 2024, Ayden turned ten, and Davis marked the milestone with a photo of him seated behind a wooden box engraved with “10 years.” She captioned it, “We started with the blocks at one week old. One decade later… he still humors me. My baby boy!!”

Later that year in September, she shared another proud moment on her Instagram — Ayden’s first day of middle school — writing, “Hard to believe… first day of MIDDLE school.”
Ayden has been at the heart of much of Davis’ work outside of journalism. He inspired her 2022 children’s book, How High is Heaven?, written to help him — and other children — cope with the loss of a loved one. The idea came after Ayden expressed a wish to visit his paternal grandmother, who had passed away when he was just a year old.
Over the years, Davis has written several children’s books, including Girls of the World: Doing More Than Ever Before, The Smallest Spot of a Dot, and How Far is Heaven?.
