Who Is Anna Paulina Luna’s Husband, Andrew Gamberzky?
Gamberzky is a decorated U.S. Air Force combat controller. Born in Austin, Texas, he grew up in New Jersey with his twin brother, Matt, on a retired farm property.
He enlisted in the Air Force in 2009, earned his beret in 2011, and was assigned to the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron in Florida. His service took him to multiple combat zones, where he endured severe injuries and the loss of fellow soldiers. His courage and dedication earned him several military honors, including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
In September 2021, while serving as a technical sergeant, Gamberzky requested a religious exemption from the military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, citing his Christian beliefs and concerns over long-term health effects.
When the exemption was denied, he left the Air Force. Together with Luna, he later filed a federal lawsuit against the Department of Defense, the Air Force, the National Guard, and the Oregon Military Department, seeking compensation for lost salary, medical expenses, retirement benefits, and other damages.
Luna’s own Air Force background also ties closely to his. She enlisted at 19, served as an airfield manager in Missouri and Florida, and received an honorable discharge in 2014. She later joined the Oregon Air National Guard in Portland, where she served alongside her husband.
When Did Anna and Andrew Marry?
The couple tied the knot in 2011 after meeting while she was serving in the U.S. Air Force. They first settled in Florida, where Gamberzky was stationed as a combat controller with the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron after earning his beret that same year.
The couple later relocated to Portland when Luna joined the Oregon Air National Guard, allowing her to serve alongside her hubby. After their wedding, she initially took his surname, Gamberzky, but in 2019, she began using her grandmother’s maiden name, Luna, as a way to honor her Hispanic heritage.

They Welcomed Their Son in 2023
Anna and her husband, Andrew, became parents for the first time on August 27, 2023, with the arrival of their son. Just two months later, they co-authored a children’s book titled The Legend of Naranja, published by Brave Books.
In June 2025, Luna posted a photo of her little boy on Instagram, calling motherhood her “greatest honor and accomplishment.” She also shared advice for young women, urging them not to wait for the “perfect” time to start a family. “Have children and have them early,” she wrote. “Don’t worry about the perfect time. You will figure it out. ✨ Children are a blessing beyond measure.”
