The ex-CIA agent with approximately 15 years of service, Mike Baker, once worked as a covert field operations officer specializing in counterterrorism, counternarcotics, and counterinsurgency operations. Additionally, his affection for her often spills onto social media. In a birthday tribute, he wrote:

Their relationship works despite their religious differences. Emily is Catholic, and while he isn’t so religious, he attends church with her.

After many foreign and domestic missions, Mike now tackles his most rewarding mission: fatherhood. His family includes three sons – Scooter, 17, Sluggo, 16, and Muggsy, 14 – as well as a daughter from his previous marriage.

Mrs. Baker’s career in government service began with a notable appointment as Regional Administrator for the General Services Administration (GSA) in the Northeast and Caribbean region in 2004. As one of the youngest members of the U.S. government’s Senior Executive Service, she managed a $1.9 billion annual budget and led key technology initiatives.
Her earlier role at the U.S. Department of Commerce as Deputy Director of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs involved shaping policy on intellectual property, international trade, and cyber issues, including anti-piracy efforts.
With over 20 years of experience, she has since transitioned to the private sector. Her expertise now spans crisis management and communications, complemented by various board positions as detailed in her LinkedIn profile.
