Table of Content Show

You might have seen famous characters like Michael Dawson in Lost (2004-2010), Augustus Hill in Oz (1997-2003), or Link in The Matrix Reloaded (2003). Do you know what they have in common? Yes, you guessed it right, they’re all played by the same actor—Harold Perrineau. He has an impressive list of roles across both film and television. From playing emotionally complex characters to action-packed roles, he has hit the bullseye with each performance. But there’s something else in his life that deserves just as much attention, and that’s his marriage.

Yes, the sensational actor is a married family man. As the saying goes, “Behind every successful man, there’s a strong woman,” Harold has his wife, Brittany Perrineau (née Robinson) by his side, supporting both his career and their family for over two decades.

Let’s take a closer look at their enduring love story and the woman who’s been Harold’s rock through it all.

The Couple Is Early 90s Sweetheart

Harold and Brittany’s romance is like something out of a feel-good movie. These two have been going strong since 1993.

After nine years of dating (yeah, you read that right), they finally tied the knot on August 27, 2002. This year, they’re celebrating 24 years of marriage. In Hollywood years, that’s practically a lifetime!

What’s their secret? Well, it seems like they’ve managed to dodge the usual Hollywood drama. No scandals, no messy breakups – just two people who are crazy about each other.

The actor is not shy about showing his love for his other half either. On one of her birthdays, he posted the sweetest birthday message for her, saying “I am endlessly amazed by you!!!” But wait, it gets better.

In 2013, he took his devotion to the next level by getting a tattoo of Brittany’s eyes on his shoulder. He shared a pic on Facebook:

Looks like these 90s sweethearts are still thriving, proving that sometimes, those early loves really do last.

They Have Been Blessed With Three Children

The duo is proud parents to three beautiful daughters. Their eldest, Aurora Perrineau, born on September 23, 1994, has already made a name for herself in Hollywood, starring in films like Jem and the Holograms (2015) and Truth or Dare (2018).

Their second daughter, Wynter Aria Perrineau, born on May 7, 2008, is also stepping into acting with credits in People You May Know (2017) and L.A.’s Finest (2019). Despite being diagnosed with PANS/PANDAS at just three years old, Wynter hasn’t let it hold her back from following in her father’s footsteps. She recalls, “It was overnight — I couldn’t walk or talk or do basically anything.” She remembered being a kid, confused and unsure of what was happening to her. Despite these early struggles, Wynter has bravely shared her story, even speaking at a rally in California.

Their youngest, Holiday Grace Perrineau, born on March 21, 2013, is still growing up, but with such talented parents and sisters, it wouldn’t be surprising if she, too, found her way into the spotlight in the future.

As a mother, Brittany has been incredibly supportive, especially when her eldest daughter, Aurora, faced a serious ordeal. In 2017, Aurora accused Girls‘ writer Murray Miller of sexually assaulting her when she was just 17. Her bravery in coming forward during the height of the #MeToo movement was met with both support and intense media scrutiny. Miller denied the allegations, claiming inconsistencies, but Aurora held her ground, taking a polygraph test to back her claims.

Brittany was by her daughter’s side the entire time, making sure Aurora’s voice was heard amidst the media noise.

The Perrineaus Have Built A Beautiful Home Together

With support and love for one another, Harold and his wife have not only built a strong family but also a beautiful home. In 2020, the couple purchased a stunning property in Encino, Los Angeles, for $3.29 million. Their home, spanning 4,949 square feet, boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms, offering plenty of space for their big family.

The house also includes a massive master bedroom, a swimming pool, and beautiful indoor and outdoor sitting areas, creating a perfect retreat for the family.

Mrs. Perrineau is a Former Actress and Activist

Brittany, 50, comes from a rich and diverse heritage, with English, Irish, French, and German roots. As the daughter of John Michael Robinson and Drucilla Katherine “Dru” Holcomb, her background is as varied as her experiences in Hollywood.

She began her journey in the entertainment industry with roles in several TV shows and movies. Fans may remember her brief but memorable appearance as the Lotto Girl, Mary Jo, in Lost, where she shared the screen with her husband. But that’s not all, she was also seen in other projects like Saving Face (2004) and Felon (2008).

After these roles, she eventually stepped away from the spotlight to focus on her family and other passions. Now, she has taken on the role of an activist in the entertainment world. She now serves as a board member, alongside her hubby, and some big names like Terry Crews and Jennifer Eckhart, on Voices in Action, a nonprofit supporting abuse survivors and pushing for change in Hollywood.
