Ana and Al Cárdenas tied the knot on March 2, 2019, during a waterfront ceremony at the Indian Creek Country Club in Miami Beach. The guest list brought together familiar names from both politics and entertainment, with around 250 people in attendance.
Guests included Senator Mitt Romney, Congresswoman Donna Shalala, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Don Lemon, ABC’s Gio Benitez, and stars like Gloria Estefan and Eva Longoria.
Navarro later clarified on Instagram that she invited these guests not because of their fame, but because they were close friends who had been part of her life for years.
The bride wore a custom Luis Escudero gown from the Rene Ruiz Collection. Cárdenas, who is 24 years her senior, stood by her side as they celebrated a relationship that had spanned decades. After knowing each other for over 25 years, they reconnected and got engaged in October 2018.
Navarro explained that they chose to marry quickly so both of her parents—especially her mother, whose health was fragile—could attend the ceremony. It was Navarro’s first marriage and Cárdenas’s second.
Who Is Ana Navarro’s Husband, Al Cárdenas?
Al Cárdenas is a Cuban-born American lawyer and political figure with long-standing ties to the Republican Party. He has held several leadership positions, including serving as chairman of the Republican Party of Florida and later heading the American Conservative Union.
Beyond politics, he built a career in law and lobbying, becoming a partner at Squire Patton Boggs and co-founding the Advocacy Group at Cardenas Partners.
Born in Havana, he later moved to the U.S., where he completed his education and earned a law degree from Seton Hall University. Over the years, he was appointed to various federal roles under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush, including as a board member of the Federal National Mortgage Association.
They Don’t Have Children Together
Navarro has been open about not having children and recently shared the personal reasons behind it. During an episode of The View, she revealed that she and her husband had tried to have a child through IVF, but the attempt was unsuccessful. “By the time I tried, it was too late,” she said.
