All About Kelly Osbourne’s Kids — Meet Her Son Sidney and Life as a First-Time Mom

Table of Content Show

Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell concert, Back to the Beginning, was already an emotional milestone. But for Kelly Osbourne, the night became unforgettable for a whole different reason. While her father took the stage one last time with Black Sabbath legends Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward in front of 40,000 fans in Birmingham, something even bigger was unfolding within the family.

Kelly’s longtime partner, Slipknot rocker Sid Wilson, got down on one knee and proposed, turning the heavy metal send-off into a full-blown family celebration.

In a video shared on Instagram, Sid is seen grabbing her attention and saying, “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world,” only for Ozzy, 76, to cut in with perfect timing: “F— off, you’re not marrying my daughter.”

But she said yes, wrapping him in a long hug as her mom Sharon and brother Jack cheered from nearby. And right there in the middle of it all was their son, Sidney.

The video captured a funny moment too. As Sid got ready to propose, he passed Sidney to Jack Osbourne for safekeeping. While the crowd clapped and gasped around him, little baby boy stayed glued to what looked like a phone in his tiny hands, only glancing up once, completely unbothered by the whirlwind of excitement.

Here’s a closer look at Osbourne’s life with her son, Sidney, and what it’s been like stepping into motherhood for the first time.

Sidney Is Two Years Old Now

Kelly and her fiancé, Sid, welcomed their son, Sidney, in November 2022.

She first shared the news of her pregnancy in May of that year, posting a photo of herself holding an ultrasound image. In the caption, she described feeling “over the moon” about becoming a mom for the first time.

But the delivery didn’t go entirely smoothly. “I got him out in four pushes,” Kelly told PEOPLE in May 2024. “Before we started pushing, he turned and the cord got wrapped around his neck.”

Since the day he was born, Sidney has been surrounded by love. Whether it’s birthdays or everyday moments, both Kelly and Sid have proudly shared glimpses of him on social media.

For his first birthday, Kelly posted a photo of her son in the bathtub and wrote, “This past year has been the most magical year of my life for one reason. That reason is you, baby Sidney. To watch you grow, learn, and become a little man is the greatest joy I have ever felt.”

She ended the post with, “Happy birthday, sweet prince. We made it on our first trip around the sun together.”

Kelly and Wilson Had Their “Biggest Fight” Over Sidney’s Name

Naming their son wasn’t a sweet or simple moment for Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson—it turned into what she later described as the biggest fight of their relationship.

Speaking candidly on a February 2024 episode of The Osbournes Podcast alongside her parents, Sharon and Ozzy, Kelly opened up about the intense disagreement. “This is personal, and I didn’t expect to ever talk about this, but I’m going to,” she said. “It’s the biggest fight me and my baby’s father have ever, ever, ever had—and probably ever, ever will.”

The argument centered around Sidney’s last name. Kelly had wanted him to carry both parents’ surnames, but Wilson initially refused. “I feel that I was forced into doing something I didn’t wanna do,” she said. “And I can never, ever, ever forgive him for that. But—we can move on.”

Eventually, after what she described as “a lot of eye-opening conversations and some couples therapy,” Wilson came around. The couple agreed to legally update their baby’s name to include both last names.

She Isn’t Shy About Raising Her Son in the Spotlight

With a family as high-profile as the Osbournes—and a father who’s a Slipknot rocker—it’s no surprise that Sidney was born into public attention. But Kelly isn’t trying to shield him from it. In fact, she embraces it.

Speaking to PEOPLE, the Shut Up singer explained that she plans to raise her son the same way her mother raised her: on the road. “We were a musical family, always on tour, and I grew up on the road,” she said. “For me, that was a beautiful experience, and it’s one that I can also give to Sidney. He’ll get to travel the world, meet all sorts of people, get exposure to art and music and science and things he never would see if he wasn’t traveling the world.”

She’s also fully enjoyed motherhood. In a 2023 interview with E! News, Kelly said, “I’m a mom now—I love it. It’s the best thing that has ever happened to me.”

And like any proud mom, she couldn’t help but share a sweet milestone. “He is almost crawling, which is amazing,” she said. “He’s kind of scooting backwards and turning in circles.”

He’s Already Attended Some Major Family Events

Sidney has already been part of several big milestones in his parents’ lives, and just the way Kelly always hoped he would be.

In August 2024, he joined his mom at Madison Square Garden to watch his dad perform. Kelly later shared an Instagram Reel from the night, cradling Sidney as the show played on behind them.

By October, he’d hit another major event—his very first Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, where he was there to celebrate his grandfather Ozzy’s induction.

He’s also regularly spotted with his extended family, spending time with grandparents Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and hanging out with his uncles.
